NOVEMBER 2024

Artist, musician, comedian and actor, Bill Bailey, hosts as 12 Junior Crafters, who hope to specialise in four distinct heritage crafts, are given the the opportunity of a lifetime to expand on their skills by taking part in 4 bespoke masterclasses in their chosen field.

Each masterclass is presented by an industry leading Master Crafter who will give them the opportunity to create a piece of work under their watchful eye, whilst consolidating and learning new and invaluable skills. Mosaic master Paul Siggins, Blacksmith Ian Thackray, Stone Carver Simon Smith and Letterpress printing duo Nick Hand and Ellen Bills will each lead their masterclasses imparting decades of heritage crafting wisdom to our juniors.

Our junior crafters, who are all at the start of their crafting careers are: 2nd year student black smithers Brân Davis, Brad Wills and Georgia Stevens, mosaic makers Jermaine McLeod, Jessica Ridler and Dani Bello, novice stone carvers Thomas Stainer, Emily Guest, and Goke, and finally, fledging letter pressers Florrie de Havilland, James Rowley and Nayab Ahmed.

All four masterclasses will be held at Manor Farm barn, a 12th century tithe barn in the village of Bourn in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside.
