Kerene Barefield is an award-winning television producer with a dynamic portfolio spanning factual entertainment, premium documentaries, and live programming.

She began her career over twenty years ago at ITV, where, by the age of 27, she was producing Britain’s flagship daytime show, ‘This Morning’, winning multiple awards, including an NTA for Best Daytime Show.

After a decade at one of the UK’s biggest broadcasters, she moved into the independent sector, working with some of the country’s most influential production companies. She later took on senior development roles, serving as Head of Development for Spun Gold TV and Shine TV, and as a Senior Development Executive for BBC Studios. In 2023, she launched Love Monday TV.

Most recently, Kerene executive produced the premium documentary film ‘Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors’ for ITV1, which has been shortlisted for a True Crime Award, as well as Backstage with ‘The London Philharmonic Orchestra’, which has been nominated for a BAFTA Craft Award. Continuing to expand her portfolio, she has also broken into the ad-funded programming space with ITV1’s ‘Fern Britton: Inside The Vet’s’.
